Snow Series
A winter bus ride from Pittsburgh to Cleveland inspired the first five of the Snow Fields paintings. The rest are all sunrises. All painted for my daughter, Carolyn, as she endured a bone marrow transplant this spring. There is a sunrise for every day she was in the hospital. The final five depicting spring's arrival, were painted after the news of engraftment.
She continues to heal and is now 98 percent her donor's match.
